New DCAF blog in Swissinfo calls for accountability of private military and security companies

A blog written by Jean-Michel Rousseau, interim head of DCAF’s Business and Security Division, describes an industry worth hundreds of billions of dollars that has grown for decades and continues to diversify.

While initiatives like the Montreux Document and the International Code of Conduct have led to significant international norms and standards, their implementation via adequate national-level oversight, regulation, and accountability mechanisms remains a challenge. Read more here.
