Implementation of the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPs) requires close cooperation between oil, gas, and mining companies, governments, civil society, and affected communities. National-level implementation has been undertaken in several countries, notably Colombia, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ghana, Myanmar, Nigeria and Peru. The Voluntary Principles Initiative (VPI), the multi-stakeholder membership organization that supports the VPs, is committed to reinforcing this multistakeholder engagement, making national-level implementation a key priority for the initiative.Promoting Security and Human Rights through Multistakeholder Engagement
