This is a guidance tool developed by the Global Compact Network UK based on the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, the Sustainable Development Goals, the Women's Empowerment Principles, and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. It begins with the application of the aforementioned principles in the conflict setting with a view to safeguard womens rights, and then goes beyond the doing no harm principle to doing good through recommendations on what companies could do in the following business activities: core business activities, strategic social investments and philanthropy, rightsholder-centred advocacy and public policy engagement, partnerships, and other collective action.
Each recommendation in the second part (i.e. doing good) is supported with 2-3 good practice examples from real companies.
