Description

This tool provides corporate clients of private security providers (PSPs) with recommendations, good practices, checklists and performance indicators to help ensure the process of selecting, hiring and working with a PSP effectively integrates all relevant human rights considerations.The tool is divided into five sections:

1. Solicitation, notice and bidding process;
2. Evaluation of potential contractors;
3. Award and development of the contract;
4. Monitoring, enforcement, and accountability; and
5. Termination of the contract.
