In 2020, Nigerian civil society organisation LITE-Africa published a report that highlights the progress and opportunities in the implementation of good practices related to business, security and human rights in Nigeria.This study reflects research on the current status of implementation of the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights in Nigeria.The study identifies recommendations for improving respect for human rights whenever security providers are present on company operations. TheBaseline study has served as an important foundation for defining the thematic priorities and workplan of the Nigerian National Voluntary Principles Working Group.
