Article 30 of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples prohibits military activities taking place on indigenous lands without consent from the indigenous peoples. If the State has violated Article 30, companies must ensure that they do not contract with the State in such a way that would mean that the company would be supporting military activities on indigenous lands. A business should not benefit from military activities that discriminate against indigenous peoples.
