DRC Government Applies to Become an Engaged Government in the Voluntary Principles Initiative

The DRC government has submitted an application to become a member of the Voluntary Principles Initiative (VPI) on 31 March 2022.

From 28 March-1 April 2022, DCAF supported national stakeholders in Mozambique to advance implementation of the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPs).

From 21-25 March 2022, DCAF travelled to Nigeria to support local civil society partners PRAWA and LITE-Africa to engage key stakeholders in VPs implementation.

On Friday 18 March, DCAF was most honoured to host the Nigerian delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Justice to discuss implementation of the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPs).
