New Partnership Announced - Geneva Center for Business and Human Rights

DCAF and ICRC are pleased to announce that a partnership agreement has been signed with the Geneva Center for Business and Human Rights (GCBHR).

The partnership agreement will seek to develop good practices in business, security and human rights, focusing on the DCAF-ICRC Toolkit on Addressing Security and Human Rights Challenges in Complex Environments and the Knowledge Hub, developed in response to the need for practical guidance and support expressed by companies, governments and civil society organisations. Both these resources have had a major impact on the policies and practices of international companies and other stakeholders, contributing to the implementation of multistakeholder initiatives such as the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights. However, over the past few years, there have been significant developments in the fields of business, security and human rights, and the partnership with the GCBHR will ensure that the Toolkit and Knowledge Hub remain relevant and fit-for-purpose.

As the first Human Rights Center at a business school in Europe, the GCBHR works with companies to identify business models that enable profits and principles to co-exist, and to train future leaders to develop and integrate human rights standards in their respective industry contexts.

The DCAF-ICRC partnership looks forward to collaborating with the GCBHR and to sharing updated resources in the future.
