Promoting Security and Human Rights through Multistakeholder Engagement

Description

Implementation of the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPs) requires close cooperation between oil, gas, and mining companies, governments, civil society, and affected communities. National-level implementation has been undertaken in several countries, notably Colombia, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ghana, Myanmar, Nigeria and Peru.

The Voluntary Principles Initiative (VPI), the multi-stakeholder membership organization that supports the VPs, is committed to reinforcing this multistakeholder engagement, making national-level implementation a key priority for the initiative.
