DCAF-ICRC Partnership at the Swiss Forum on Business and Human Rights
As part of the 2023 Swiss Forum on Business and Human Rights, DCAF moderated a session on heightened human rights due diligence in conflict-affected and high-risk areas (CAHRAs), on behalf of the DCAF-ICRC Partnership.
The workshop targeted Swiss and Swiss-based companies seeking guidance, practical tools and good practices. The workshop was a space for dialogue and lessons learning, helping companies to identify CAHRAS and develop responses. Offering a platform for exchange, the Forum sought to identify human rights risks arising from company activities and to explore solutions and good practices. The Forum also provided opportunities to discuss current legal requirements and the expectations of the Federal Council on business and human rights.
The event was organized by the Swiss SECO and the FDFA and was hosted by the UN Global Compact Network for Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
