Global Business Initiative on Human Rights (GBI)

Description

GBI is a not-for-profit organisation led by a core group of 18 corporations from different industries (including extractives) established to provide support and a peer platform for companies seeking to meet their responsibility to respect human rights. GBI focuses on three interrelated programmes of work: Informing Policy, Peer Learning, and Outreach & Capacity Building. These key programmatic areas area aimed help companies ‚work simultaneously on implementing respect for human rights, building partnerships and knowledge, and tracking policy and legal developments.‚
